Private Swim Lessons Return to The Wave Waterpark This August

For Vista families hoping to build stronger swimming skills, improve water safety or give a new swimmer some extra confidence, private lessons are returning to The Wave Waterpark this August.

 

Beginning Monday, August 10, The Wave’s Learn 2 Swim instructors will offer private lessons for swimmers of all ages and abilities. The program is designed to meet participants where they are, whether they are brand-new to swimming, working to improve their technique or looking for adaptive instruction.

 

One-on-One Attention in the Water

Unlike larger group classes, these private lessons are tailored specifically to the individual swimmer. That gives instructors an opportunity to focus on the skills, comfort level and goals of each participant.

 

Lessons are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Each private lesson lasts 25 minutes.

 

The City of Vista describes the program as an opportunity to help swimmers develop skills, improve safety and build a lifelong love of the water.

 

The current session is scheduled to run from August 10 through October 2. Because private instruction means a limited number of appointment times are available, families interested in participating may want to reserve a spot early.

 

Financial Help Is Available

The City of Vista is also highlighting financial assistance for families who may need help paying for lessons.

According to the City's announcement, City scholarships are available through August 31. County scholarships are also currently available for families in need.
