This August, families, friends, and LEGO enthusiasts of all ages are invited to take part in Build a LEGO City Together, a unique weeklong interactive experience that transforms imagination into a colorful community creation. Rather than following a set of instructions or recreating a specific design, participants are encouraged to build whatever inspires them. Every structure, vehicle, bridge, park, or imaginative creation will become part of a growing LEGO city shaped by everyone who joins in.

It's a simple idea with a creative twist: every visitor leaves a lasting mark on a project that continues to evolve throughout the week. Whether you're an experienced builder or picking up LEGO bricks for the first time, everyone has the chance to contribute to something larger than themselves.

The activation runs Saturday, August 22 through Saturday, August 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, on the grassy area in front of Wynston's Ice Cream at North City. Thousands of colorful LEGO bricks will be available, making it easy for visitors to stop by for a few minutes or spend an afternoon building alongside family, friends, and neighbors.

One of the most refreshing parts of the experience is its simplicity. There are no instruction booklets to follow, no competitions to win, and no rules dictating what you can create. Instead, the event celebrates imagination, collaboration, and the joy of building together. Every person adds a unique piece to the city's story, creating a display that changes and grows throughout the week as more members of the community participate.

The fun doesn't stop there. North City will also host a special Family Movie Night featuring The LEGO Movie, giving families another reason to gather for an evening of entertainment. Before the movie begins, guests can enjoy LEGO-inspired activities from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., including helping expand the community LEGO city, interactive games, and hands-on LEGO STEM activities presented in partnership with Play-Well TEKnologies. Once the activities wrap up, The LEGO Movie will begin at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs so you can relax and enjoy the film under the stars.
