The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is going smaller.

Its next Plates for 8 Networking Lunch offers eight spots at one table on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at The Mining Company in San Marcos.

The event runs from noon to 1:30 p.m.

That gives participants 90 minutes to make connections without shouting over a crowded room or collecting business cards they will rediscover six months later in a jacket pocket.

Eight Spots Is the Point

The small guest list is not a registration glitch.

According to the Chamber’s official event page, Plates for 8 is designed to help members share information about their businesses, build relationships and discover opportunities to collaborate.

Conversation will be guided by the Chamber’s Membership Outreach Committee.
