Comedy Shows San Diego: Brian Kiley Comes to San Marcos |
The Conan veteran headlines Last Laugh Friday at TERI Campus of Life on October 30 |
If you've been looking for something to do in San Marcos on a Friday night, there's a comedy show coming up with a familiar name behind the jokes. Brian Kiley, who spent 27 years writing for Conan O’Brien, is the headliner.
It's called Last Laugh Friday, and it's happening October 30 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at TERI Campus of Life on Deer Springs Road.
You don't have to drive downtown for this one. Which is already a decent start to a Friday night.
A Late-Night Veteran Takes the Spotlight
Kiley spent most of his career behind the scenes at Conan, but he's also performed on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show and Conan.
He wrote for the final season of Ellen, too. The Television Academy lists 17 Primetime Emmy nominations for his work, including one for writing on the 2026 Oscars. The Boston Comedy Festival gave him a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
That's quite a bit of television comedy experience coming to San Marcos for one night.
Mark Christopher Lawrence is hosting. He's an actor and comedian, and he'll be joined by Heather Marie Brown and Kevin Davis before Kiley takes the stage.
Brown draws on family life, relationships and everyday situations in her stand-up. Davis is a retired Marine who has worked as a comedian, actor and producer for more than 20 years.
Four performers on the bill. Plenty of chances for somebody to make you laugh.
The Venue Has a Twist
The show is at TERI Campus of Life, 555 Deer Springs Road in San Marcos. It starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 30, and is scheduled to finish at 8:30.
Seating is open, according to the ticket listing. All ages are welcome, though the organizer advises discretion about the material. Children who can't sit on a lap need their own ticket.
Accessible seating is limited. Guests who need it can email boxoffice@thebornemann.com to request an ADA seating code.
Tickets are available through The Bornemann's official event page and its Humanitix listing.
More Than a Comedy Stage
TERI Campus of Life is also home to programs and services for people with special needs. The Bornemann's event information says ticket purchases help support that work.
Common Grounds Café is listing pre-show dining from 4 to 8 p.m., with concessions available as well.
So dinner is an option if you want to make a night of it. Or just come for the comedy. Either way, the show is right here in San Marcos.
