Your Inbox Can Wait. San Marcos Has Coffee Connections. |
Phantom Wash Pros hosts the October 21 Chamber gathering at Union Cowork, with one hour scheduled for meeting the local business community. |
Your inbox has enough introductions from people selling things.
Try a conversation where you can ask a question back.
The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce’s Coffee Connections gathering is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 8 to 9 a.m. at Union Cowork.
Admission is free for Chamber members and $25 for prospective members.
That gives people considering Chamber involvement a way to participate before joining.
You can meet the business community without making membership your first transaction.
And the scheduled commitment is one hour.
Wednesday still gets to be Wednesday.
Coffee Opens the Conversation
The gathering is at 251 North City Drive, Suite 128F, San Marcos. Union Cowork’s own location page confirms the address.
The Chamber describes Coffee Connections as an opportunity for business professionals and community leaders to meet, exchange ideas and develop relationships.
The recurring series is scheduled for the third Wednesday morning of each month, with a member business hosting.
October 21 fits the pattern.
The public listing does not specify a speaker program, elevator-pitch round or structured introductions.
It offers an opportunity to connect. A guaranteed client before breakfast would require considerably more fine print.
Bring an interest in what other people do.
Knowing another local business starts with learning something about it.
This Month’s Host Has Local Roots
The Chamber’s official October flyer identifies Phantom Wash Pros as the host.
The company describes itself as family-run, veteran-owned and based in San Marcos. Its services include pressure washing and other exterior cleaning.
The event destination remains Union Cowork.
The hosting business and the meeting venue are separate details.
No individual speaker or Phantom representative has been confirmed in the materials reviewed.
For attendees, the useful part is the opportunity to put faces to businesses. An email signature tells you a title. A conversation gives you somewhere to start.
The Address Has Other Business Uses
The Chamber’s relationship with Union Cowork extends beyond this gathering.
Its member-benefits page says the partnership offers Chamber members special coworking rates. The coffee event’s listing does not advertise workspace access with admission.
Separately, the City and Chamber announced small-business support office hours at Union Cowork.
The announced schedule is the first Tuesday of each month, from 9 a.m. to noon, with no appointment needed.
The City describes assistance with licensing, permits, zoning, signage and finding the appropriate department or resource.
Those office hours are a separate program.
October 21 is not advertised as a City consultation session.
That gives San Marcos professionals two distinct options: a gathering for meeting people and separately scheduled assistance for business-process questions.
Choose the conversation you need. Give it some room on the calendar.
The inbox will manage without you for a little while.

I went to Union Cowork for a meeting once and found it easy to settle in. Glad the city office hours are listed separately, since I need help with a permit.
Does anyone know if people introduce themselves as a group, or is it just casual conversation? I could make the 8 a.m. Start work.
The $25 fee feels a little steep for someone just thinking about joining the Chamber. I would be more likely to try it if the first visit were free.
I like that Phantom Wash Pros is hosting. It would be nice to meet the people behind a local family-run business.
