The California Center for the Arts, Escondido announces the return of the 61st Annual Independence Day Festival

Grape Day Park will transform into a patriotic celebration this July Fourth as Escondido hosts its annual Independence Day gathering.

 

Full Day of Festivities

 

The event kicks off at four in the afternoon and runs until the fireworks finale around nine-thirty. Attendees can explore an artisan market, sample food from local trucks, and enjoy cold drinks from concession stands.

 

Live music fills the main stage throughout the evening. The lineup features vintage country sounds, psychedelic rock, and a performance by the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West.

 

Family-Friendly Activities

 

Beyond the music, the festival offers games and contests for all ages. A hula hoop competition adds playful competition to the afternoon schedule.

 

The highlight arrives at nine when the sky lights up with a professional fireworks display. Organizers recommend arriving early to secure good viewing spots.

Admission is free, making this an accessible way for families to celebrate the holiday. The park setting provides plenty of space for spreading out blankets and chairs.
